Reporter asks Gibbs about "Bow" to Saudi King
Earlier today CNN reporter Dan Lothian asked Press Secretary Robert Gibbs about the current issue regarding Obama's bow to the Saudi King. This is the conversation between Gibbs and Lothian
Lothian pointed out the meeting between President Obama and King Abdullah which the White House explained as Obama simply being taller. He said they looked at the video very closely and he saw that it appeared that Obama did Bow to the King. Gibbs responded by saying that he bent over to shake with both hands. Lothian added to that saying that he only shook with one hand. Gibbs started to laugh and began moving off topic commenting on how the incident took place over a week ago. Lothian responded by saying many people are interested in what took place there and they want to know what had occurred. Gibbs Responded by saying "I can only imagine it is a great cause and concern to for many people struggling with the economy". He moved on and went to another question without even finishing it. I wish the White House at least acknowledged the event took place. Gibbs completely brushed it off and moved on with some ridiculous comment about the economy.
